AAAID and The Digital School Launch "Agriculture Academy" to Empower Arab Youth in Sustainable Farming and Food Security

The Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) has signed a cooperation agreement with The Digital School — one of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives — to launch the "Agriculture Academy" under the Skills Academies Initiative, aimed at building the capacities of Arab youth in sustainable agriculture and food security.

The Academy will offer specialized training programs tailored to the Arab region, with a strong focus on digital learning. It is set to train and qualify up to 10,000 beneficiaries, equipping them with the knowledge and practical skills needed to support sustainable agriculture and strengthen food security.

AAAID's support for these academic programs, which will be managed by The Digital School as part of the Skills Academies Initiative, reflects its commitment to investing in human capital, advancing food security, and fostering sustainable development in the region. It also represents a concrete embodiment of the Authority's approach to social responsibility.

H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman of AAAID, stated that the launch of the Agriculture Academy is a strategic step toward preparing a new generation of farmers and agri—entrepreneurs. He emphasized that investing in human capital is the cornerstone of food security and sustainable development. Through this initiative, nearly 10,000 beneficiaries across Arab countries will gain access to advanced digital training programs, transforming agricultural challenges into opportunities for growth and innovation, and reinforcing agriculture as a vital pillar of Arab economic and social security.

Dr. Waleed Al Ali, Secretary General of The Digital School, affirmed that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to empowering youth and communities across the Arab world with the tools needed to acquire practical skills that enable them to build a better future for themselves and their societies.

The signing ceremony also featured a rich panel discussion titled "Agricultural Training and Food Security in the Arab World: Harnessing Innovation for a Sustainable Future." The session brought together representatives from AAAID, The Digital School, as well as local and international experts, to explore the role of innovation and targeted training in enhancing agriculture and ensuring food security across the Arab region.
