Her Highness Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan Al Nahyan, wife of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairperson of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, affirmed that "Ata'a" enhances the humanitarian and developmental efforts and initiatives adopted by the UAE to support sustainable development globally, improve living conditions, and assist communities and peoples everywhere.

Her Highness stated that over the past years, "Ata'a" has contributed to creating groundbreaking solutions for many significant humanitarian issues in the health, education, social, and other service sectors, implementing vital projects in numerous countries worldwide. Therefore, it is essential to continue in this direction, achieve further humanitarian gains, follow the leadership's vision of sustainability, and focus efforts to create lasting and positive change, especially in regions facing developmental challenges.

This was stated during a speech by Her Highness at a press conference held today at the headquarters of the Emirates Red Crescent in Abu Dhabi to announce the 14th edition of the "Ata'a" exhibition, which will be held from January 13 to 18, 2024, at ADNEC Marina in Abu Dhabi. The event will feature around 130 exhibitors from inside and outside the UAE. The speech was delivered on her behalf by His Excellency Dr. Hamdan Muslim Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority.

Her Highness added that this year, "Ata'a" launches a new and innovative initiative, dedicating the proceeds from the current edition to support African youth by investing in infrastructure to build digital networks and facilitate technological transformation, which promotes sustainable development and eliminates geographical barriers. This initiative is aligned with the African Union's vision for 2063.

She also stated, "In collaboration with the UAE Digital School, we aim to make a significant leap in the field of e—learning in several African countries by providing an accessible educational platform and a modern technical educational system based on information technology and artificial intelligence, meeting students' needs. No doubt, the current edition of Ata'a will offer new hope to many students who face great challenges in continuing their education in Africa."

Her Highness also announced that a version of "Ata'a" will be organized in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in May 2024, to make African countries an integral part of this event and to share the values of "Ata'a" on a broader scale. The exhibition will bring together Emirati and African designers under one platform.

Her Highness concluded, "We look forward to Ata'a achieving its goals this year, as it has in previous years, by reaching as many beneficiaries as possible through the engagement of various sectors of society with the initiative 'Empowering African Youth Towards Digital Transformation.'"

She expressed her gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the partner in organizing this edition, and to the strategic sponsor, the Diwan of the Ruler's Affairs, for their continued support in enhancing Ata'a's journey and achieving its humanitarian objectives.
